We're currently hiring for the following positions:

BARISTA (full- and part-time)

Position Overview
The Barista is the heart of The Station—crafting exceptional beverages, delivering warm hospitality, and creating a welcoming, community-oriented experience for every guest. This role blends skill, creativity, speed, and genuine connection with our customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency and care.

  • Provide friendly, attentive, community-focused service to every guest.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment.

  • Operate POS system, manage cash handling, and process orders efficiently.

  • Assist with café setup, restocking, and closing procedures.

  • Learn and follow all recipes, drink builds, and presentation standards.

  • Support community-centered events and special promotions.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • Prior barista experience preferred but not required—willing to train the right fit.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Availability on weekends and during peak hours.

BAKER (full- and part-time)

Position Overview

The Baker plays a key role in The Station’s culinary identity by creating consistently fresh, delicious, beautifully crafted baked goods. This role is ideal for someone who loves creativity, precision, and working in the early hours before the café opens.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all baked goods including pastries, cookies, muffins, breads, and specials.

  • Follow recipes and maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, and portioning.

  • Create rotating specials that align with the café’s seasonal menus and brand.

  • Manage kitchen prep lists, ingredient inventory, and production timelines.

  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets all food safety standards.

  • Assist with packaging, labeling, merchandising, and restocking.

  • Collaborate with the café team on seasonal launches and community events.

  • Ensure timely production for opening each day.

Qualifications

  • Professional baking experience preferred but passion and skill matter most.

  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and kitchen organization.

  • ServSafe Manager or equivalent certification required, or willingness to obtain it upon hiring.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Willingness to be creative and contribute new ideas.

  • Early morning availability required.

 

 

FOOD PREP (full- and part-time)

Position Overview

Food Prep Staff support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, assembling café bites, and ensuring consistently fresh, high-quality meals and snacks. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and essential for smooth café operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for salads, sandwiches, toast, and seasonal café bites.

  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized prep area, kitchen, and storage spaces.

  • Assist with washing, chopping, batching, and assembling menu items.

  • Package and label food items for display and service.

  • Support the Bakers and Baristas during peak times as needed.

  • Assist in receiving, organizing, and rotating inventory (FIFO).

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health department regulations.

Qualifications

  • Prior kitchen or prep experience is required. 

  • Food handler's permit

  • Comfortable working with knives, kitchen equipment, and food handling protocols.

  • ServSafe Food Handler or similar certification required, or willingness to obtain it shortly after hiring.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
